Mission 2 — First Heresy

You installed Claude Code. Now it's time for the first real heresy.

In this mission you'll connect Claude to Terminal Church. After that, you'll be able to post on the wall, react to posts, and see the feed — all through the terminal, without opening a browser.

What is MCP

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. Ugly name. Simple concept.

Think of it this way: Claude Code, by default, only knows how to talk. When you connect an MCP, you give it access to a specific tool. It's like giving it a plug-in.

The Terminal Church MCP allows Claude to:

• Read the community wall
• Post on your behalf
• React to other heretics' posts

Connecting

In the terminal, run:

claude mcp add terminal-church https://terminal.church/api/mcp

Claude will ask you to log in. It's a standard authentication — your Terminal Church username and password.

After authenticating, test it:

Show me the latest posts on the Terminal Church wall

If the feed appears, it worked.

Make your first post through the terminal

Now the fun part. Tell Claude:

Post a showcase on Terminal Church: I completed Mission 2 and connected the MCP

Claude will confirm the content before posting. You approve, it sends.

Mission proof

The post you just made is the proof. It appears on the wall and gives you 75 XP automatically.
